KL, travel day
Monday was a travel day.
I woke up early, still on EST time, and walked around Chinatown. They have a Buddha Tooth Relic Temple there. I walked past it, but didn’t go in.
After that I went to a curry shop for dinner, before catching a Grab to Woodlands CIQ. What’s peculiar here, is to pass into Malaysia, you have to pass customs, board a train to Johor Bahru, which is just a 5 minute train ride, then disembark to get where you’re going. It took longer to board than to ride!
JB–KL took about 6 hours by rail. The ride was smooth, wifi was available, and they even fed us. It wasn’t super interesting though. It was just like 6 hours of oil palms, broken up with the occasional village.
Once I got to KL, the transit system was pretty easy to navigate. I got to my place at the Element, and they gave me a pretty crazy suite, with 3 beds in 2 bedrooms. I also have the Petronas Towers right outside my window.
The city had to wait another day though, as I was pretty tired at that point.
